hAte

I hate making mistakes.
And soar throats.

I'd like to be over a bubbling brook right now, gazing at the water surface, listening to thrown pebbles' splashes...

My dear diary...

...there it is, my stress worm, curled up inside my stomach again. Eating its way up to my lungs, not letting me breath. Inhale, exhale. And again. I think I need Yoga...

Broom, brooommm....!

Me and the broom are enemies. I know I should get the big picture, dust is who I should be really pissed at, but it's the broom that makes me suffer. Bend therefore backache, sweat and dust all over you, therefore dirt off the floor but all on you... I hate brooms. I hate sweeping. It is a life-sentence torment!

Lightening-fast pizza dough (home made, the crunchy, yummy kind)

-updated-
2 wine glasses plain flour
¼ cup strained yogurt
oil (as much as yogurt)
2 tbsp baking powder
1-2 tsp sugar
lukewarm water, 1/4-1/2 cup

Mix everything, knead well on floured surface, for AT LEAST 3 MINUTES (it brings out the moisture and you may need to add a bit more flour - the less flour you put, the softest the dough), leave to set while you prepare the toppings (inside the microwave is a nice spot), roll out on a greased dish, cover with toppings, bake, then ...eat and enjoy. Makes one average pizza. Leave out the extra cheese. It's greasy and heavy on your stomach (and your figure)!

Yummy!

Who are the few privileged that life is fair on, and do they know that they are so? Shouldn't you be able to do a job that you actually like, instead of working all your life, to end up having free time to do what you wish when you're old and incompetent? And don't mention early pensions... Those things die earlier and earlier as time goes...

Valentine stressed!!!

All my 'fair bit of pressure' is focused around making Valentine's day 'as romantic and amazing as possible'... Get serious, it's married couples you're addressing, not teenagers!

bAbble, oh, bAbble...

No babbling for the last few days, but even blogging takes time and, believe it or not, five minutes are many times hard to find. For instance, these days of mine are filled, among my usual tasks of working-mothering-cooking etc., with decorating a/our living-room and this can prove very, VERY, frustrating at times. Especially if you have to take decisions alongside with someone who considers shabby-chic as "country fitting", ole!. So I have the difficult task of combining dark brown leather IKEA couches, with white marble floors and many pieces of old junk and making them all appear as quality, sophisticated, low-budget but not evident, shabby-chic beauties. Hurray!!!

For starters, I'm posting a lovely-looking painting of Degas, which I'm considering copying and does not look shabby-chic at all.

Plus, I'm showing a distressed dresser (is it?) which looks lovely to my eyes, country-fitting to my other half. But feminism will have the final decision.
Have a good day, my other self, out there somewhere, wherever you are... Do you think that we'll have a chance to cross each other some day, even online? Chances are...

FOUND Sky

Yep! Finished, found Sky and everything. All and all a rather good book, but I would not so highly recommend it to anyone. It is quite fun at points, but has some major faults: a) a guy does not sound “bad” just because you name him bad, while during the read he is constantly sweet and tender. He has to actually appear difficult in some ways: strained, unfair, abrupt, or something of the sort anyway, at least in some scenes, to do justice to his ‘bad’ profile. b) The repetition of your prototype idea in the key crisis scenes, does not call for suspense, therefore interest. Saw it, know it, let’s move on.

I think that this book could do better as a movie, where a director could ‘color’ the scenes more vividly than the author did.

The necessity of connecting..

Disconnected from the WEB (ADSL dropped) for three days and still counting. It feels like you’ve put me off life-support...

Escape in a book

Check out this very cute blog about books:

Finding Sky

I was looking for a good read, and run across a readers' forum (don't remember which one now) which suggested 'Finding Sky'. "If you liked TWILIGHT, you'll definitely like this one" someone wrote. So I started reading the book, totally clueless, because Amazon does not even have a plot summary, and my first thought was: this is nothing like Twilight. But reading on, I found the similarities, and I have to say that it is a pretty cute book. I've still managed only 20% of it (sleep-deprived you see), but it's what I can't wait getting back to. Although I cannot stop picturing Zed, the male character, as 'Jacob' from Twilight movies in my head. He totally fits the description.

sTRESS!!!!

I think that stress will eat me up from inside, like a hairy, scary, monster. Stress, stress, stress, always something to do, always running to catch this moment before the next one arrives. I long to say: "I'm bored... I don't know what to do....". I KNOW what to do, I just don't know WHEN to do it all. Grrr!!!! (Scared already? Or not yet?)

Oh! so cute!

Sarah Kay card, done by me. It looks lovely, I wish I had actually created it. Her characters are unique. SOOO cute!
