Although I'm not really sure what 'Tilda' stands for, they are the really cute fabric birds that you can make to decorate your home. I don't know how fast they can be made, but some of them are gorgeous.

Sugarpaste Cake for our costume party (chocolate / walnut cake dressed up as Cheese... ;)

For that half of myself who blames the other half for missing out on blogging, I am posting the following with pride (ok, at the moment I was taking the photos I was rather disappointed because the sugarpaste had not come out Perfectly smooth, but it was pretty, pretty good for 2nd effort).

And, might I add, that the cakes were delicious, and with different flavors as well.

If anybody needs any tips, don't hesitate to ask.

clock troubles

I'm coming and going between decisions about my bird clock, which is not turning out as nice as I'd like.

Check what I'm thinking of now:

ROMAN CLOCK

For use as template on the birds' clock.

1,2,3 which clock should it be?

And the number '1' wins (although I'm not sure why, but I've had quite an obsession with this clock for about 10 months). It's the hardest to copy though. But we'll see how it goes.

So, shall we start?

STEP 1: MAKING THE BIRDIES

What of? Salt dough (2 cups flour, 1 cup salt, 1 cup lukewarm water, knead for 10 minutes, ready).

What a mess!

 

  Done (OK, couldn't take photo while actually making them, 

I don't want to decorate my camera with flour).

Step 2 will be preparing the wood I guess. Stay tuned for updates.

Pretty hAndy girl

I love how handy this girl is. I have opened tabs of her blog on my browser for days and days, with projects and instructions of hers that I want to use myself. Although I must admit, I am not that bold yet. Floors are out of my league. But reconditioning old crap, well... that's my thing.

I am of the opinion that good news must be spread, and this blog is worth a visit for all of you handy/crafty people out there. I give you the links to my 'opened tabs' but there's still much more to explore.
