Going on... to a new tomorrow :)

Hi all,

just wanted to drop a final line to my post, now, blog 'my daily bubbles'. It is the end of an era, what can I say, but as well the start of a new one. I've been long away now cause I've been trying to catch my dream (which is of course 'time'. To anyone who's read my previous posts this is a LOL moment...) I've been trying to make my life motto become my reality and be one of those who actually made it happen.

It's true, I managed to build my website (although still partly under construction): zelyss.com and I'll be bubbling from a different location now. If you like to check on me, you can find me if you click below:

See you!

PS To anyone who's left a comment and I didn't reply at once, I must say that when it comes to blogging I seem to be sort of a moron, because somehow I ended up reading the comments with the phenomenal light speed of only several months later! What can I say. I am loved for my geniousness!

aNGRY mAM!

I don't know if I should feel sorry that my blog is more than often taking the form of a diary, but (like it or not) it is when I am this upset that I need to write (!@#@!#$_).

I don't like choices occasionally. You 'll say 'who doesn't?' Well,...I!

My daughter is going to primary school on September and I want her home at 14:00. At the time when everybody else -more or less- is leaving school also. Not at 15:30, not at 16:15 but at 14:00. Like almost every other kid of her age. OK, if I couldn't pick her up at that time, I wouldn't, and then the choice would be nice. But I CAN! And I WANT to! And why do you have to make me feel guilty for needing to be a 'mother'? Perhaps crazy, overprotective, or whatever, but still. Why should she eat lunch at school when she can have it here? Why must she come exhausted and cranky and then have me all over her, pushing her to study and learn to read and write and so on. She is 6! And she is allowed to have a 6-hour schedule at school, then a 6-hour schedule at home. And some other outer activity if we can put it there as well.

So, no. I say this to you and I say this to me. For once, I am sure of what I want and I am claiming it. And no. It will not be worse for her, and I will not be taking anything worthy away. It's her first year in school after all God @#$!#%@#%@!!!!

The end-

sUZI bLU, I LUV YA!

My new hobby-flavor of the month/obsession is the mixed media art inspired by this book:

I bought it, loved it and take it in my hands every day. It always gives out something new, no matter how many times I leaf through it. The girls are simple to draw, yet so adorable and cute, the technique is liberating and fun. It's like I suddenly have wings. If it only came together with the magic thingie that Hermione (yes, the one from Harry Potter) had and managed to be at two places at the same time, then whoo! I'd be the luckiest (and most productive) girl in the world!

Without the thingie I only managed two small paintings so far... :(

There are times that something aches inside and you want to write. Write with the wish, or the hope, that the words might take some of the burden away. The keystrokes sound, like balsam to the soul. Sweet, as sparse notes from a symphony. But why the misery, why the sorriness, why the burden?

There are millions or zillions of reasons why you should worry, me, you, everybody. Like death,  hunger, cancer. But for mistakes? For mistakes of someone else? Or for the wonder, or whether those mistakes are tangled with yours, but muffled inside a cloud and blinding you so.

Curtain down.

Tilda birds

Although I'm not really sure what 'Tilda' stands for, they are the really cute fabric birds that you can make to decorate your home. I don't know how fast they can be made, but some of them are gorgeous.

Some photos I found here and there, I am definitely making one of these...

Crazy Little Thing by Tracy Borgan

OK this was not a 5star book, because it is not the quality type read that you choose in hope of finding deeper meanings or for making soul searching. But it is quite good for its type, with the exceptional quality of giving also a few laughs (which is quite rare I think). So I do suggest it to someone that needs something light to read, it is easy-flowing and not at all boring. Despite the fact that it does not feel so realistic.

I am simply wondering: why does it always have to be a super-hot guy? They do look excellent, probably even mouth-watering to some, but they seem unapproachable to everybody who does not spend their lives in a gym in order to match them. So, I am wondering, if Des (or any Des) were some more common-looking, less muscular guy, would he be less desirable? I think no. I think he would be even more seductive. Because then we, plain mortal women/readers, would feel it more possible to ride along him, when we fantasize ourselves as the girl (I can't even remember her name, imagine that!) instead of fighting the need to hide in the shadows. Just saying...

Sugarpaste Cake for our costume party (chocolate / walnut cake dressed up as Cheese... ;)

For that half of myself who blames the other half for missing out on blogging, I am posting the following with pride (ok, at the moment I was taking the photos I was rather disappointed because the sugarpaste had not come out Perfectly smooth, but it was pretty, pretty good for 2nd effort).

And, might I add, that the cakes were delicious, and with different flavors as well.

If anybody needs any tips, don't hesitate to ask.
